A Hug

Nigel talked about the range and potential of Social Prescribing which extends beyond medication and has the potential to enrich lives. He also suggested that doctors should be able to prescribe a hug. They may not be able to give you one, but be able to send you somewhere safe to get one. Companionship and comradeship are important – though he would also take a prescription of Stella lager and a curry.
